Many of us feel the desire to assist our veterans in any way possible, but some situations are more manageable than others. The following resources are not the only ones available, but they are a good starting point for those who want to help there veteran in way or the other.

Psych Armor Institute

Psych Armor provides free education and training to anyone who wants to learn more about supporting veteran. They offer a wide range of courses on topics like military culture, mental health, and how to communicate effectively with veterans.

Warrior Care Network Community

Hosted by the Wounded Warrior Project, this network connects veterans and their families with specialized care and resources, particularly for those dealing with PTSD and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The community forums offer a space for in-depth discussions on mental health treatments, caregiving strategies, and advanced therapies.

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation

This foundation focuses on supporting military caregivers and provides resources and training for family members and friends of veterans. They offer a wealth of information on how to support a veteran's physical and mental health.

Veterans' Families United Foundation

This foundation offers a more intimate community focused on the families of veterans. Their forums and resources dive into the emotional and psychological aspects of supporting a veteran, with a strong emphasis on building resilience and understanding PTSD. The discussions here are particularly geared towards those who want to deeply understand and better support their veteran family members.
